Wonderful place to stay with more than enough rooms which are tastefully decorated. Dedicated and thoughtful staff and enjoyable breakfasts. Coffee and tea are almost always available. The evening sherry and port are put out along with sweets.

Centrally located within walking distance of most of the St Augustine sites. We will return for another stay with Glenda, (proprietor). She was more than happy to make dinner and tour reservations for us.

Let me start off by saying, WOW! This place was absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our 6 month mark in our relationship and because of our hectic scheduling could only find time to stay one night somewhere near home. We had never been to a bed and breakfast before and this Inn left a high bench mark to exceed if even possible. Very peaceful atmosphere. We stayed in the Rhapsody suite and it was absolutely beautiful and private, which I liked. The food was superb! And the customer service was exceptional. This was the best value because what you receive is the most priceless memories you’ll ever experience!

This was our first experience with a bed & breakfast, and we werent disappointed! What a lovely setting….Glenna is warm & helpful. The breakfasts were delicious…my husband is a very picky eater, & the one thing i was hoping we wouldnt be served was quiche….but that was our first breakfast there – and he cleaned his entire plate & then told her how tasty it was!! This place definately offers privacy, just what we wanted for our 10th anniversary get away! Jacuzzi tub was relaxing, and the bed was very comfy. The location is great too…far enough away from the “main drag” that you dont hear much outside noise..but still close enough to walk everywhere! we didnt move our car the entire time we were there until it was time to (unfortunately!) leave. We would absolutely return & recommend this place to friends! The only downfall i can see would be the shower stall…it was extremely little itty bitty, and my husband is claustrophobic, and i must admit i am a bit of a germaphobe & dont like to touch shower walls, including my own! In the grand scheme of things though, this is a MINOR complaint….like i said we will reuturn! You should check it out, too!! Oh, i must say, you NEED to visit Habana Village restaurant, the flan is absolutely to die for!!!! Harrys seems to be a popular restaurant, but we were not at all impressed by it & found the food to be way overpriced for the quality. Enjoy your trip!

We stayed 4/23 thru 4/25/10 and thoroughly enjoyed are stay. Glenna is an absolute gem. Her breakfasts are to die for!!! She knows alot about the city and gives great tips. We loved the balcony where we could watch the soon to be graduates of Flagler College arrive for their ceremonies in the morning and the horse and carriages go by at night. The brownies left out each night were absolutely scrumptious. The electric fireplace added to the romance.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Peace and Plenty. Glenna, the innkeeper, was very hospitable and made the most wonderful breakfasts! Everything was within walking distance. I enjoyed sitting on the 2nd floor balcony each night watching the horse and carriages clomp by. Flagler College is across the street and often the college students were a bit noisy. I highly recommend this Inn.

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn. The location is excellent, most sites are within walking distance. Our suite was in the cottage, which was huge and beautifully decorated. Glenna was so helpful with information about St. Augustine and great restaurant suggestions. The breakfast was fantastic, evening desserts and drinks were a lovely touch. Glenna is a marvelous Innkeeper and Peace and Plenty shows this in all aspects.

This was our first trip to Saint Augustine, and I must stay it was wonderful. Not only is the city amazing, but the B&B Peace and Plenty is incredible. We had never been to a B&B and I had been dying to go for ages. When I found Peace and Plenty online I decided to book it there. I won’t lie, what first caught my attention is how much more affordable this inn is compared to the others, and the fact that you can have drinks throughout the day is incredible (not that we were at the inn all day drinking, but it’s nice to come home and be able to have a glass wine or what not, not having to worry about a thing). Once we arrived at the inn, Glenna welcomed us and took us on a little house tour, telling us all the information we needed to know. We reserved the room called Tranquility with the private balcony. This room was amazing, the entire inn’s decor is very victorian and romantic and wonderful. This inn takes you back to a different times when life just seemed easier, more relaxed. We didn’t have a care in the world while staying here. The breakfasts were amazing, my boyfriend and I hate waking up early, and while we were here we would wake up very early eager to find out what our wonderful breakfast was going to be that day. The quiches were amazing, the waffle boats, the crepes, everything delicious and all made by Glenna. Glenna is also extremely knowledgeable on the area’s history and helped us find our way around, and guide us towards all the sites we wanted to visit. Glenna and Peace and Plenty were definitely the cherry on top. We have already made our reservations to go back for a second time, but this time we’re trying a different room. We want to try them all!! Glenna we’re looking forward to our next stay. If you are looking for a B&B at St. Aug. stay here. I have already recommended 3 of my friends, and 2 have already gone and loved it, one even stayed 1 night at a different (way more expensive inn), and she was kicking herself for having changed inns. She said nothing compares to Peace & Plenty. Can’t wait till we arrive once again!!! Also, BEST LOCATION EVER, VERY CONVENIENT!!

This second trip to the Peace and Plenty was fantastic, as always. Glenna makes the best breakfasts ever, gourmet quality, served fresh and hot in the charming dining room of this beautiful B&B. The flaky, homeade apple turnovers melt in your mouth, along with the delicious quiche and fresh squeezed juices will start your day perfectly. We love the complimentary port, beer and brownies/cake/pastry out in the living room every night at 6pm. Our beautiful suite had its own private balcony/deck the length of the entire house where we sat on rocking chairs enjoying a good book and beautiful weather on a queit afternoon with a view of St. Augustine. We love this B&B, the food, the maid service, the innkeeper, Glenna, the rooms, the location, everything was PERFECT!!!!!!!

We spend two wonderful nights at this B&B and couldn’t have been happier. The room was spacious and lovely. We never had to get back into the car until we left. We are walkers but everything was close enough. The innkeeper recommended a fabulous Tapas restaurant with live jazz that we really enjoyed.
Breakfast was unbelievable and the free beer, wine and Port in the evening was a lovely touch.
We will recommend this Inn to our friends for sure and definitely will go back.

We’ve stayed twice now and both times, we really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is always very tasty. When we stayed over New Year’s Eve, we returned to find a bottle of champagne, ice bucket and glasses at our door. It was great! We love that it’s walking distance to most of the historic attractions and plenty of good restaurants.

One of the best things about the Peace and Plenty is the location, you can walk to everywhere — just a block or so from Flagler College and all of the restaurants and shops in the historic district. We even walked down to the Fountain of Youth the second day – a little longer walk- but an easy flat walk…

We stayed in one of the two carriage house suites. The room was great – a seperate living room – big bathroom – decorated beautifully. We found later that the other carriage house suite had a coffee pot. Ours did not.

The only down side was the fact that breakfast was not served until 9 and coffee was ready at 8. For early risers like ourselves, we are beginning to think about where to go to lunch at 9.. We took our early morning walks and found coffee and muffins just up the street by the college. For those of you who like to sleep in — breakfast time is perfect…

Jan 25, 2010 | Trip type: Couples This enchanting B&B has been our New Year’s destination for the last 4 years. It is tucked away in a peaceful yet convenient location. Each room has its own character – some are more spacious than others. We have our favorite! This victorian house is oozing with charm, ambience and history. The breakfasts are to die for and one of our favorite things to do is to spend time in the parlor after an evening out. The lights are low, music is softly playing, and delectable desserts are awaiting us along with sherry and port wine. Glenna knows how to be welcoming and accomodating, while at the same time giving her guests privacy and space.

Jan 13, 2010 | Trip type: Couples This is the second time we have been here. As far as we are concerned, we will stay no other place in St. Augustine. It has many things to recommend it. The breakfast is just fine and the drinks that are always available and the evening desserts are very welcoming. The location is within a block of the largest museum and close to everything else in the old town section – and reasonably close to transportation that runs all over town. A big plus is that parking is on site – you don’t have to park blocks away like you do at some other Bed and Breakfasts in the old section. Anything that isn’t perfect is made up for by the owner trying so hard to please her guests – a ceiling fan wasn’t working in our bedroom and when we called about it she apologized, said someone had just broken the switch and that she had put an electric fan in its place in the closet in case we wanted one. How can we complain about that? And, Glenna is just a very fine person even though you may not get to know her very well because she basically works all the time to make your stay enjoyable and leaves you alone.

Jan 10, 2010 | Trip type: Couples We have stayed at the Peace & Plenty Inn twice and both trips have been so enjoyable. The Inn is beautifully restored and maintained and the owners make sure every detail is seen to; nothing is ever lacking. The breakfasts are unique and delicious and a perfect start to a day for sightseeing around the historic city.

We would recommend this place to all our friends and family for a perfect weekend away.

Jan 7, 2010 | Trip type: Couples We got married in St. Augustine and love it here. We are well-educated about this area and have been coming for over 20 years (even as children). This B&B was wonderful, close to everything and was a great romantic getaway spot. We came in December when the city puts on “Nights of Lights” which we like to jokingly say is in celebration for our special day. You will not be disappointed with this Inn. Our only complaint was the tiny little shower (need shower heads with hoses, to be able to rinse everything)… and that was not enough to keep us from already planning a return visit. Stay here! You’ll love it! Oh, each room has climate controls which can be changed if you ask for it!

Jan 7, 2010 | Trip type: Couples My husband and I have stayed in several B&B’s in St. Augustine, and the Peace and Plenty is now our favorite. We went there for a one night stay to see the lights and enjoy a nice dinner at Christmas time and chose the Peace and Plenty based on the room and price compared to some of the other places. The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean and well kept. The wine and sherry were also a nice touch. Breakfast was very good. Glenna is a super host and does everything she can to help make your stay the best. We will stay here again.

My husband chose Peace and Plenty after a search on the internet. It was our honeymoon and we thought we would try a Bed and Breakfast so this was our first! It was absolutely wonderful! The room was clean, quiet and cozy and the bed was so comfortable. The antiques and decor of the parlor, dining room and our room were breathtaking! Glenna was an absolute wonderful host. I got so use to waking up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee and breakfast and I so missed that when I returned home. The location was great right in the center of downtown and the trolly buses. We would defintely visit again.

The building is quaint, beautifully furnished with modern amenities. We loved our room – lots of space. The breakfasts were to die for. I said to Glenna, our hostess, ” This looks like a work of art”. And it was delicious to eat.

St Augustine, as the oldest city in Florida and perhaps the US, is well worth a visit to immerse in the history of the spanish and English settlers.

We highly recommend Harry’s restaurant, which was recommended to us my Glenna.

I did not like the rattling tram ride around the city but It has the advantageous of getting an overall impression quickly.
I was pleasantly surprised they had a free Wifi.

The winery tastings was a nice cool (original meaning of cool) break.

This was our first stay in a bed and breakfast and thanks to the wonderful experience we had it surely will not be our last! The Peace and Plenty Inn is a must stay in St. Augustine with beautiful gardens, fantastic period decor, the greatest Key Lime pie I’ve ever tasted, delicious breakfasts, an amazingly comfortable bed and the relaxing whirlpool tub I was ready to move in.
We stayed here in September 2008 for 3 nights for my birthday and got engaged on a romantic horse & carriage ride in St. Augustine. This Inn is on a side street away from the main area, but just a short walk away. We had a wonderful experience at the Inn. We stayed in the Carriage House in the Rhapsody Suite which is a beautiful room with a canopy bed, huge kitchen with a full size fridge, electric fireplace, and jacuzzi tub with a stained glass window in the bathroom. The room itself does not have much extra room for walking around, but we fell in love with everything else about the room so it didn’t bother us. The breakfast was amazing… one of the best from all the B & B’s we’ve stayed at. There was a mini-fridge in the parlor that was stocked with beer and wine, help yourself at anytime. There was port, sherry & a dessert left out in the evening. They had the best carrot cake one night! We would definitely recommend this inn for a wonderful stay in St. Augustine. This Inn is also less expensive than many of the other ones that we looked at in St. Augustine, but it doesn’t skimp on service or amenities at all… definitely a great deal!
